I have had the great honor and pleasure of working with our team at vitaltech for almost two years. It is true that technology plays a great deal in our lives and businesses, however, it does not have to be complicated. At vitaltech, we make sure that technology is made human, which means less headaches for you. My goal as a relationship manager, is to help you focus on what you do best…and that is, run your business.
As a first generation American, from Guatemalan immigrants, I learned at a very young age what persistence and hard work meant. It was quite an inspiration watching my parents work hard extreme schedules to make sure there was food on the table. They also made sure we attended great schools to receive an excellent education. With the support of my family and the assistance of The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation, I was able to attend De La Salle Institute on the south side of Chicago. Here I had the opportunity of playing varsity soccer and succeed as a student athlete. From there I attended DePaul University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Networking Technologies. It was a very proud moment for me and my family, being one of the few to accomplish this goal.
From there it has been an interesting and fulfilling journey of experiences and lessons. I am happily married to a wonderful and supportive woman with whom I love to travel the world with. We have seen much of the Caribbean and hope to see Europe together soon. I am forever a student of all things that can be learned. Currently, I am attempting to learn to play the acoustic guitar. As many of my family members are musicians, I feel the need to learn an instrument. I continue to play soccer on the weekends with a small league to keep active, the game can never escape me. Besides that, you can find me in a pizza or other Chicago delicacies as I am an avid foodie. I am very involved in my local fraternal organizations and involved in many community service projects.
Besides all of that fun stuff, I also have 12 years of experience in the information technology field. After graduating from DePaul University in 2003, I went to work in the senior living, real estate, automotive, local government, and education industries. I have supported over 1500 users nation-wide for a publicly traded senior living company in Chicago. I have administered and managed several enterprise server environments. I have worked with local municipalities outside of Chicago to support their school district. I was also fortunate to participate in a very exciting project in which I lead a team of technicians through the consolidation of their 911 fire and police dispatch center. This also included the upgrading of computer equipment in the police and fire vehicles.
In addition to my college degree, I have also achieved various Microsoft certifications those of which include, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
